Planning Board & Zoning Board of Appeals Application

The Planning Board oversees subdivision, site plan and permit approvals throughout the Town in an effort to ensure that development in one area will not adversely impact surrounding areas. 

The Planning Board also serves in an advisory capacity to the Town Board on specific issues, such as the Comprehensive Plan, zoning regulations and any other land use matters where the Town Board seeks the opinion of its lay experts.

As of May 2002, all Planning Board members are required to participate in at least 6 hours of training annually in an effort to maintain high professional standards and to keep abreast of new developments in land use law, planning and design.

SERVICES:

• Subdivision review and approval
• Pre-submission and conceptual development plan review
• Commercial and multi-family site plan review
• Public hearings for subdivision plan review
• Recommendations to Town Council for zone changes and zoning amendments
• Recommendation to Town Council for public street acceptances

Please note: The Planning Board meets every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the Month at 7:30 pm at Town Hall.  Please check the Calendar for schedule changes.
